At Stichting Ghost, we use both the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) as key tools to achieve our vision of empowering individuals through engaging STEAM challenges. Through these international robotics programs, participants gain hands-on experience in engineering, programming, design, manufacturing, and project management by designing, building, and competing with advanced robots in real-world inspired challenges.
FRC provides students with … FTC offers … Together, these programs create a strong progression path where participants can continuously develop both technical and creative capabilities.
Beyond technical expertise, both FRC and FTC foster essential soft skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration under pressure. Participants learn to solve complex problems with professionalism and integrity while working in multidisciplinary teams. This directly aligns with Stichting Ghost’s mission to make learning engaging, practical, and impactful for personal growth.
As part of the global FIRST community, participants also become connected to an international network of students, mentors, engineers, educators, and organizations dedicated to advancing STEAM education and innovation worldwide. The programs’ strong emphasis on innovation, inclusion, and gracious professionalism inspires participants to pursue future opportunities in STEAM fields and carry these experiences into their academic, professional, and personal development.
